LIONEL 1940 CONSUMER CATALOG
1940 was the year that "Magic Electrol" couplers, scale and semi-scale freight cars, new automatic signals, and the 313 Bascule Bridge were introduced.
I have the good fortune to own a Like-New Set #787W from 1940 which is depicted on page 32 of this catalog. The set I have is complete with practically flawless engine, tender and freight car boxes as well as the set box itself. The set is headed by a black 763E.
